I'm alive. I think....

Been getting my butt kicked in school. My teacher is a stickler for details. And I'm beginning to think I'll never be more than a B student. Bummer.......

Went on a date for the first time in a long time with Jodi yesterday. Now that she's working, it's nice. Really good to have two paychecks again. We went to Chili's. Triple dippers.....yum! Jodi getting drunk off Appletini, awesome. Getting....nevermind. *wink*

Having only one car is not fun. I haven't been so tired for so many days in so long. Guess I'll get used to it.

Now that I'm officially an online Final Fantasy XI geek, it's time for the true showing of my geekiness. So far, my red haired Elvan has jobs and levels of: 33 Red Mage, 36 Blue Mage *my fave!!!*, 10 Ninja, 23 Black Mage, 4 Thief, 1 Warrior, 1 Monk, and 1 White Mage. Yes, I am that big of a geek. There are about 10 more jobs that I haven't even unlocked yet. Oh, this is going to be fun!

True story. Two days ago, my car broke down. Water pump. Got it replaced, no big. So, today, Jodi and I are heading to Taco Bell, when the car breaks down. Now it is at a little stop mart, and it won't start. It sounds like it's trying to turnover, but it won't. Hooray me! No money and a car that doesn't run.

Here's the strange part...we're walking across Glenwood Ave, and Freddy Krueger is on the other side of the street! Totally creeping us out and waving at us with those fingers. And I got honked and whistled at by two rednecks in a truck. Ahhh, my life. Almost interesting.

One week left of class. That's awesome! I've managed to pull my grade up to an 89. Still 3 points shy of an A in the class. But I have a 1500 word paper due by Sunday, so that should help me up my average.

Added a new user pic, and made it my default. It's an older picture, but I really like it. I haven't had one come out that well of me in a long, long time.

The air conditioning in my car finally died. Not like it's summer outside or anything. So now I'm miserable on the drive home and all sticky icky wet.

Putting Jodi's car in the shop on Monday finally. Perhaps now it will run, and thus I can use it to avoid the previous problem.

Hooray for the little things.

Is it just me, or do those Old Navy commercials that go "Lights, camera, action we're going to get our fash' on" make you want to boycott Old Navy, find the marketing dept. rep that came up with that ad, drag him into the street, and run him over with a Hummer H3....then blow them up with the Hummer?

Maybe it's just me...........

Halfway through class, and I'm carrying an average of 86. It's an 8 point grading scale, so a 92 is the lowest A, and 84 is the lowest B. I need to keep pushing harder, because I need a 3.0 for this class at the least. Now to work on my debate with others in the class which accounts for 40 percent of the class grade. Wish me luck!

So, today is my last day of my vacation. And nothing would have made me happier than to play FFXI online with Jodi. Oh, what's that? It's down for maintenance today?! Whatever shall I do?!?

Guess it's more philosophy reading for school then. Lucky me! *rolls eyes*

I'm so disappointed with myself. I got my first grade in my first class since fall of 1997, and got an 87% on my essay. I should have done better. I'll work harder on the next 7 papers in the next seven weeks.

Damn it's hard to be a perfectionist.

Nothing like the Wake Co Park System. They have a beautiful lakeside trail full of wooded, natural surroundings. Then there is a paved walking area along a sewer system *it stinks!*. So, Jodi and I go out for the 5.5 mile hike yesterday, hoping to walk the lake trail. Well, the place is so poorly layed out, not only did we walk 2.4 miles past our lakeside trail turn off, but it was washed out in the floodwaters back from the remnants of some hurricane. Great. So, we ended up having to circle back to the car, meaning we ended up walking 7.6 miles. No wonder my calves feel like they're tied to the floor when I walk...........

Does anyone else think it's weird that Valtrex shows in it's commercials that it's approved for heterosexual sex? Why haven't they tested for homosexual sex? What's stopping them?

My dads stepfather died today. So both of my grandfathers have passed away on Fridays, and within the last 10 months.

Diet Sprite Zero is probably the BEST tasting diet pop I've ever had. It even tastes lighter and crisper than regular Sprite.

Also, Game 7 tonight from the RBC Center. Go Canes! Let's win the Cup!

The best part of the weekends is getting to spend time with Jodi. Today we're going hiking again. I think it's become something we do every other weekend. Which is cool cause it's free.

Oh, and happy father's day to all those dads *or second mommies* out there.

Went to CVS today with Jodi. The cashier asked if we were sisters. Jodi said "Yeah", and I just sort of smiled.

Maybe we do look a little like one another.....

It's Memorial Day today. And as I do every year, I remind everyone to take just a moment to thank those that gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy. No matter what your political beliefs, your stance on the world today, just remember those that served, and never returned.

I know I will, because I served. 4 years, US Air Force. And I know 29 people AF and Army that aren't coming home. Just take a moment to think about them, because Memorial Day is about them, not cookouts, beach trips, road trips, sales, or any of that other junk.
